One woman died from her injuries following collision in North City

KSDK -- A woman seriously injured when her vehicle collided with a car fleeing police has died.

The accident happened around 7:00 p.m. at Goodfellow Boulevard and Martin Luther King Drive.

Uplands Park police attempted to pull over a Dodge Stratus, but the driver led police on a chase.  It eventually collided with a Pontiac Grand Am.

After the crash, two teenage males got out of the car and ran away.

Five people were in the other vehicle.  The driver, identified as 34-year-old Lashanna Snipes of St. Louis, died from her injuries.

A 35-year-old woman in the car is in critical condition at Barnes Jewish Hospital.  Three children, ages 12, 13 and 17, were transferred to St. Louis Children's Hospital and are in stable condition.

The two suspects are still on the run.
