A Winter Weather Advisory will go into effect tonight through Sunday night for most of the NewsChannel 5 viewing area. A fast moving clipper is sliding out of the northern Plains today. This system will move across the Bi-State region through the day on Sunday and will leave behind 2"-4" of snow by Monday morning.
Snow has developed along a frontal boundary and will continue to spread over the metro area through the day. Expect a heavy band of snow this morning and another heavy burst of snow during the evening and overnight hours tonight. The snow will come to an end Monday. Most locations will pick up to 2"-4," but some areas could see up to 5" locally.
President's Day will be cloudy & cold with a few snow flurries lingering behind as the system exits the region.
