KSDK -- The man accused of critically beating his girlfriend's two-year-old daughter in Belleville has been released from jail on bond.
A judge lowered the half-million dollar bond for Kraig Monroe earlier this month to $300,000.
Monroe posted bond and was released today. He will be electronically monitored and was ordered to have no contact with Runyon.
Monroe faces felony charges. Investigators said he was babysitting Amanda when he beat her over a three day period. Her injuries were so severe that doctors had to remove a quarter of her intestines.
Monroe pleaded not guilty and his family insists he is innocent.
