KSDK -- The Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis has intensified its search for answers in the case of a burning body discovered Tuesday in East St. Louis.
The investigation led them to an abandoned warehouse, a quarter mile from where the body was first discovered.
The Major Case Squad has been at the East St. Louis Police Department Wednesday night, working on this case. The deputy commander Scott Workman said they found a second crime scene inside that abandoned warehouse.
A mobile command unit was established at the Bi-State Warehousing Company building. They brought in crime scene techs with the Illinois State Crime Lab.
The warehouse is close to where truck drivers working nearby found the man's body still on fire Tuesday morning.
Authorities still do not know the identity of the victim.
The Major Case Squad's deputy commander said this second crime scene, located inside the building, is where they say the man was murdered.
Workman said they do not have any suspects in the case. He said the homeless frequent this warehouse near Front Street. Investigators hope someone saw something and want anyone with information to call CrimeStoppers at 866-371-TIPS.
