Selvidge Middle School students learn about September 11th

Ballwin, Mo (KSDK) -- Ballwin middle school students spent some time reflecting on the events of September 11th ahead of the ninth anniversary of the attacks.

Police and firefighters joined Selvidge Middle School students as they watched a video about what happened that day and then answered their questions.  They learned about what firefighters and police officers went though on the day and what they do to protect people.

A member of the Metro West Fire Protection District also told the students about the Run to Remember event which they hold to remember the people who lost their lives on September 11th and benefits Backstopeprs and the Pujols Family Foundation.

The 5k run, walk and is at 8:00 a.m. Saturday at the Wildwood Town Center at the corner of Fountain Pl. and Plaza Drive.
