St. Louis (KSDK) -- Busch Stadium organist Ernie Hays has been the man behind the music for 40 years, but this weekend will be his last performance during the St. Louis Cardinals game.
Hays will play his last songs during the 1:15 p.m. game Sunday when the Cardinals take on the Colorado Rockies.
Hays said the highlight of his time at Busch has been seeing the team win two World Series.
Hays said he doesn't call this a retirement because he plans to continue teaching music to kids and will continue to perform at private events.
Hays spoke to NewsChannel 5's Jennifer Blome and Kelly Jackson about his favorite song and why he decided to step down.
