"Sista Strut", walk for breast cancer
(St. Louis) KSDK -- They strutted for a cure in St. Louis Saturday.
The first "Sista Strut" breast cancer awareness rally and 5k walk was held at Forest Park Saturday morning.
The goal was to raise awareness about breast cancer among African American women, and other women of color.
Black women are less likely to get breast cancer than white women, but they're also more likely to die from it.
Proceeds from the event will go to The Breakfast Club, an African American breast cancer support group.
