(Kirkwood, MO) KSDK -- The holidays will be much brighter for hundreds of children in foster care.

Shoppers at the Kirkwood Walmart were asked to grant a wish to a Child in foster care Saturday, and they delivered.

For the first time in the history of the Foster and Adoptive Care Coalition's Little Wishes campaign, every wish on the tree was granted.

Nearly 500 in all.

"It's just such a blessing to be here and to be able to be a part of this and for my children to know that's what Christmas is about. It's not about the things that we get its just about being able to love other people," said Angela Hornberger who shopped for a foster child Saturday.

Newschannel Five wants say a big thank you to all those who fulfilled a little wish Saturday.

There are still nearly three thousand wishes left to be granted.
