St. Louis (KSDK) -- A cutting torch may be to be blame for a fire at a St. Louis warehouse.

The smoke billowing out of the building at Gratiot and Theresa could be seen from miles away.

The one-story brick building wasn't in use at the time and it appeared preparations were being made for a new occupant.

There are no reports of injuries.

Fire investigators said it is possible that demolition workers using a cutting torch sparked the fire.
