St. Louis among one of the worst cities for health

KSDK/USA TODAY -- St. Louis doesn't rank well when it comes to health.

Men's and Women's Health Magazines ranks the best and worst cities -- and when it comes to women, St. Louis ranks 97th out of 100 -- just ahead of Toledo, Detroit and Philadelphia.

Plano, Texas is ranked the best city for women.

It's even worse for men -- St. Louis is pegged dead last behind Philadelphia, Birmingham, Detroit and Memphis.

Madison, Wisconsin is considered the best city for men.

The magazines evaluated 100 U.S. cities for health, fitness and quality-of-life criteria in more than 30 categories, ranging from mortality rates to vegetable and fruit consumption, obesity and smoking rates.
