New report could change way autism is diagnosed

St. Louis (KSDK) - A new report out within just the last 24 hours is causing worry and confusion among some families who have loved ones living with autism.

That's because some big changes could be coming to the way autism is diagnosed.

People with less severe symptoms on the spectrum would no longer qualify for the condition.

Ron Ekstrand, CEO of TouchPoint Autism Services in St. Louis, joined us on First @ 4 to clarify things.
