St. Louis County, MO (KSDK) - A 30-year-old Kirkwood woman was charged Friday in connection with a fatal accident involving a bicyclist that took place two months ago in University City.
University City police said the incident occurred February 3 just after 11:15 p.m. in the 7500 block of Delmar Boulevard.
Prosecutors allege Emily Hagan struck and killed Sam Scott while he was riding his bicycle. Hagan is suspected of hitting Scott from behind. Scott, 19, was rushed to Barnes-Jewish Hospital and died the following afternoon.
Police said Hagan failed a sobriety test and her blood alcohol content level was 0.262. The legal limit to drive in Missouri is 0.08.
Hagan was charged with first-degree involuntary manslaughter and driving while intoxicated.
