St. Louis (KSDK) - The moon appeared as big and bright as it will get all year Saturday night thanks to an even known as the 'Supermoon.'

A Supermoon occurs when the moon comes closest to the earth in its orbit.  The moon officially became full at 10:35 p.m. Central time Saturday.  But experts say the best time to see it was just after sunset.
