St. Louis (KSDK) - Her pieces have been featured in "In Style," "Elle," and "Modern Bride," proving year after year Diane Katzman Design is a cut above the rest and that's why several big companies actually come to her when they want something special.

"They do, we do jewelry for Coca-Cola, Lexus, Honda for all sorts of special events. We do ties for H&R Block and VISA came to us and said we'd love for you to do jewelry for the Beijing Olympics," Katzman explained.

So four years later VISA came back to Diane.

"And so did NBC Universal," Katzman added.

Each company wanting another unique piece for the London Olympics.

"They're designer jewelry pieces with fun, quirky little icons," she said.

Of course, doing something like this requires more than creativity.

"It wasn't so easy for us to just produce the London bridge or a cup of tea or a double-decker bus because these are all licensed pictures that we had to pay for," Katzman pointed out.

So by the time Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee raved about the bracelet on-air, Diane and her team had more than two years of work in it.

"We sketch it, we re-sketch it, we sketch it again, we bead it, we work it and rework it," Katzman said.

And the bracelet was so popular the NBC Universal store was sold out within hours of Hoda holding it up. And just think, it all started right here in St. Louis.

For the record, the NBC store has been restocked and you'll find a link to the bracelet by clicking here.
