Union, Mo (KSDK) - A March guilty plea by a Franklin County businessman has resulted in a prison term connected to the rape of a teenage girl in 2009.
Sean Blum, 40, of Sullivan, pleaded guilty earlier this year to three counts of statutory rape for incidents that occurred between February and April 2009.
Police previously stated that Blum was arrested after their investigation into the incidents which they said involved a girl who was under the age of 14 at this time of the crimes.
Court documents state Blum had sexual intercourse with the young girl at the Blum residence.
Franklin County Circuit Judge Gael Wood order Blum to serve five years in the Missouri department of Correction on each of the three counts. It was not immediately known if the sentenced were to be served consecutively or concurrent to one another.
Blum was the owner of Quality Construction at the time of his arrest.
