Rolla, MO (KSDK) - A man accused of peeping into open windows and saying sexually explicit things to sleeping residents has been captured.

Officials with the Rolla Police Department say beginning April 1, 2012 they started receiving reports of prowler incidents late at night and early in the morning throughout the City of Rolla.

Police say all of the victims were young females who say they were awakened by an unknown man talking to them through an open window. The victims told police the man would say vulgar and sexually explicit things, and told them he wanted to be with them in a sexual manner.

Just before 1 a.m. Thursday, July 19, officers responded to the 2000 block of Forum Drive where the suspect was speaking to a victim through her window.

Michael L. Leppo, 37, was caught in the act. He was arrested and charged with stalking.

Upon his arrest, Rolla police discovered Leppo had an outstanding warrant from Springfield, Missouri for window peeping.

An investigation determined Leppo was responsible for most of the peeping that occurred in Rolla over the last three months.

Anyone with additional information regarding any other peeping incidents in the City of Rolla should contact Detective Hank Harper at 573-308-1213.

Leppo is in custody in lieu of bond on both the stalking charge and window peeping warrant from Springfield.
