Glendale police investigate report of suspicious man

Glendale, MO (KSDK) - Police are investigating after a receiving a report of a suspicious man in Glendale, Missouri.

Police received the call just after 3 p.m. Wednesday.

Sergeant Bob Catlett with the Glendale Police Department says the report came from an 11-year-old girl who says she was approached by an unknown man driving a red pickup truck.

The girl was walking home on North Sappington Road at Nancy Carol Lane when a red Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, driven by a white man in his 40s, pulled up to the intersection and told the girl, "Hey, come here."

The girl told him no, and he told her, "It's okay."

The girl ran to a nearby home and called 911.

The man left the area in an unknown direction.

Police say the girl told them the suspect has brown hair and no facial hair.

It is unknown what the man's intentions were when he asked the girl to come to his truck.

Officers are currently on the street searching for the truck wanted in connection with the incident.
