St. Peters, MO (KSDK) -- Police in St. Peters are cracking down on violators of Missouri's child safety seat law.

September 16-22 is the Child Passenger Safety Week Law Enforcement Campaign, and law enforcement is teaming up with the police department to crack down on law violators and reduce highway fatalities and injuries to children.

The Missouri law requires all children under the age of eight to be in an appropriate child safety seat or booster seat unless they are 80-pounds or 4'9" tall.
