East St. Louis, IL (KSDK) - City officials say they are fighting back against violent crime in East St. Louis.

On Wednesday Mayor Alvin Parks laid out a plan that he hopes will stop the recent violence.

The plan includes curfews for anyone under 18, restrictions on what colors they can wear, and possible searches of vehicles.

It's an extreme plan that makes for a lot more work for the city's police department, but Mayor Parks says they have to do what they have to do.
