Collinsville armed robberies: Police believe one man responsible

Collinsville, IL (KSDK) - Investigators with the Collinsville Police Department believe one man is responsible for a pair of armed robberies that occurred within hours of one another on the same block.

According to Major David Roth, the first robbery took place just before 9:20 p.m. on September 27 at the Farm Fresh in the 700 block of Vandalia. The second robbery occurred around 3 a.m. the following morning at a nearby Moto Mart.

In both incidents, the suspect displayed a handgun and stole an undisclosed amount of cash. Following the second robbery, the man fled in a vehicle described as a dark-colored full-sized pickup truck. The truck had a chrome bumper but no tailgate, and a broken back window covered by a green tarp.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian man in his early 20s, weighing approximately 160 to 170 pounds, standing 5'8" to 5'10" with a medium build. He was wearing a blue/white/black hooded sweatshirt and concealed his face with a ski mask.
