(KSDK) -- A new World War I court of honor was dedicated Sunday at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
The plaques on the memorial were originally featuerd on a display along Kingshighway. After the road was widened in the 1980s, the plaques were placed in storage.
In 2007, former KSDK reporter Mike Owens shed light on the situation. At that time, the plaques were housed in a basement.
More than five years later, they were given a proper home. The 800 plaques are now part of a memorial at Jefferson Barracks.
