Weight in Hollywood is one of those ongoing discussions that will go on and on forever, most likely. But, the chatter is usually about which actress or starlet is gaining or losing, and not so much about the men in the business.
Well, that may soon change. Enter: Chris Pratt.
The adorable Parks and Recreation actor (who's also married to actress Anna Faris) is taking on a pretty major weight gain challenge for a new role opposite Vince Vaughn in Starbuck. Pratt opened up to Vulture about his goal to hit 300 lbs. by Thanksgiving, which he's kickstarted with a 40-lb. gain since June.
Call us crazy, but wouldn't a fat suit be easier?! Behold the details of Pratt's path to fat and some of his more, um, creative ways to gain weight:
How he's gaining: Through "super gross but pretty tasty" weight gain shakes, and fast food. "I will hit a couple of burgers like it's laced with crack cocaine. Oooh, I love it."
On his low energy: "If I just keep eating I can maintain a buzz, like a sugar food buzz. But if I'm in the background of a scene, I'm definitely sitting."
Why such extreme measures?: "It's a rollercoaster. I just want to do this. I want to touch God. ... Sorry, I almost have to take a nap now just from that talk."
