Mail carrier robbed at gunpoint

St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - A U.S. Postal Service mail carrier was robbed in a north St. Louis neighborhood Wednesday morning, the USPS said.

The robbery occurred around 10:40 a.m. in the 1500 block of Bremen Avenue in the Hyde Park neighborhood.

The mail carrier was not injured, authorities said, but a small amount of mail was stolen from her vehicle.

Despite earlier an report, the suspect did not display a weapon during the robbery.

Robbing a USPS mail carrier is a federal crime.
