(KSDK) -- A potential injury hazard has prompted General Electric to recall approximately 62-thousand of its Profile front load washers.

GE says the basket in the washer can separate during use and could break the washer's top panel. The company has received 19 reports of the baskets separating. In 10 of those instances the top panel broke off. GE says it has not received any reports of anyone being injured.

The recall affects model numbers starting with WPDH8800, WPDH8900 and WPDH8910. The units were sold between July 2008 and August 2011.

If you own one of these washing machines, call GE Appliance at 888-641-9739 to set up a free repair.
