(KSDK) - Fire destroyed a Cahokia business this morning. Firefighters were called to Roadhouse 157 in the 2700 block of Camp Jackson Rd. around 5 a.m.

Camp Jackson Fire Chief Chris Davis says the fire hydrants in the area could not produce the amount of water needed to fight the large fire.  Tanker trucks were called in from several surrounding communities to provide additional water.

One firefighter suffered a minor cut to his hand while fighting the fire.  No one else was injured.  Firefighters were concerned the fire would spread to an adjacent home but were able to contain it.

The business was not open at the time of the fire.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.
