Salt Lake City, UT (Sports Network) - Kyle Randall tallied 13 points to help
guide the Central Michigan Chippewas to a 59-55 win over the Wright State
Raiders in the opening round of the Utah Thanksgiving Tournament.
Randall shot 6-of-11 and added four assists in the Chippewa (2-1) win.
Randall was the only player to score in double-digits but all 10 players
that saw time scored. .
Miles Dixon scored 16 points off the bench as the Raiders (3-1) lost their
first games of the season. J.T. Yoho added 10 points while Matt Vest scored
15 off 6-of-8 shooting from the floor and 3-of-4 shooting from deep.
Wright State shot only 25.0 percent from the field in the first half and
trailed 27-23 at the break.
The Raiders shot much better in the second half at 51.9 percent but were
unable to overcome the early deficit.
The Chippewas were able to overcome connecting on 2-of-14 percent from
3-point range by dominating inside with a 36-22 edge on points in the
