CLAYTON, Mo. (KSDK) - President Barack Obama said Friday there isn't any parent in the country who doesn't feel the same way he feels. That was seconds before he shed a tear.
In Clayton, there have been tears in the eyes of parents all day.
Parents outside of Clayton Elementary School were numb. School officials say parents were pulling their kids of school all day, just to be a bit closer during this horrific moment in our history.
Now, parents are struggling to put things into perspective.
The district sent letters home to parents on Friday urging compassion, reassurance, and a frank talk.
On Monday grief counselors will be available.
