Breckenridge Hills, MO (KSDK) - The case of an abandoned baby is still a mystery, but by Monday police and child welfare workers may be closer to some answers. That's when the man who says he's the father will take a paternity test.
Police say it could take several days for the results but it's the only way state officials will turn the baby over to the man from Oklahoma.
Meanwhile, the family of the woman believed to be the child's mother is worried about her safety.
They say 30 year-old Ebony Jackson was headed to St. Louis from Oklahoma to show off her only son to relatives -- but she never made it to anyone's home.
Sunday, they canvassed the area where the 3 month old was found trying to find any clues in her disappearance.
"Anything that you have seen. Anything that you think may be a clue," pleads Jackson's cousin Jatouris Simon. "Let somebody know something. Somebody knows something."
There is one other clue in this case a phone call the family says Jackson made the day before she went missing. In that call, they say she told an aunt that she was with her baby and a friend in St. Louis, but she didn't say whom she was with.
They're hoping that friend will come forward and call police.
