O'Fallon, MO (KSDK) - A woman was murdered at an O'Fallon, Missouri home, and now police are searching for the suspected killer, who could be armed.
Police say they need to find Terry Culberson, who apparently made threats to 55-year-old Dorothy Hall and her family the night before her death and was the only person with Hall in the home prior to her death.
The lights are on inside and out, the driveway empty and the suspect on the run.
What took place at 35 Downing Street in O'Fallon still shocks neighbors. Meckey and Ashley Hellmann live across from the mobile home, where 55-year-old Dorothy Hall was killed.
"Actually I am stunned because I was like why can such a quiet guy do something like this," says Hellmann. "It's still hard for me to believe if he actually did it."
Police say earlier in the day on Tuesday Hall visited the home, where she, at one point, lived with her boyfriend 63-year-old Terry Culberson.
"The individual, female, had went into the residence and had not come back out and the person could not raise her on the phone or at the door," says Officer Diana Damke with the O'Fallon Police Department.
Police arrived and entered the home, finding Hall with multiple gunshot wounds. Now her on/off boyfriend, Culberson is facing charges including first degree murder.
Investigators say Culberson made threatening comments on Monday, Hellmann says she saw them both Monday night.
"They was talking didn't seem like anything was arguing or anything and I didn't think anything of it," says Hellmann.
Police are now looking for Culberson who fled the area in a car similar to this a 2008 red Ford Fusion.
"If anybody has any kind of information on past places of things that, places he may go to travel, that would be wonderful information for us to receive," says Officer Damke.
Police say the red Ford Fusion should have the license plate of PE0F9U.
If you know anything about Culberson's whereabouts contact local police.
