ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KSDK) - Classes at Shenandoah Valley Elementary School will resume Friday after storm damage forced the Parkway School District to cancel classes Thursday.
Parkway schools spokesperson Paul Tandy said he went inside the school and everything is really wet.

He said there is a large section of the roof that is damaged and smaller section of the roof damaged near the gym. A temporary roof is being installed over the damaged areas that will allow kids back in those areas in a couple of weeks.
There is damage to six classrooms, so students in those rooms will be moved to other areas of the building.
There is damage to school supplies, so district offices are sending over new sets of books and supplies to replace them.
Tandy said they are thankful there were no students at the school when the storm hit and that they will make sure things are safe before classes resume.
