Show Me St. Louis headed to Branson to explore some of the new, famous and fun attractions Silver Dollar City has to offer. You'll find a hub of entertainment nestled in the Ozarks. The park is home to nine theatres where visitors will see around 40 performances a day. The park also hosts seven festivals a year attracting thousands of guests.
"Over the course of a year we'll do 175 different acts and over 10,000 individual performances," said Brad Schroeder, Director of Entertainment/Events.
Silver Dollar City kicks off a year of celebrations with America's largest international festival featuring world champion fire knife twirlers. (April 17-May 5)
"It's basically bringing entertainment from around the world and letting our audience experience entertainment from cultures that they wouldn't have the opportunity," explained Rex Burdett, Entertainment Manager.
In addition to the festivals, visitors will find entertainment on the parks stages on any given day.
"We try to take sort of a buffet line mentality. It's not all potatoes or it's not all desserts," said Schroeder.
The music heard throughout the venue is known as the heartbeat of Silver Dollar City. For a full list of festival dates and show descriptions head to www.SilverDollarCity.com or call 800-831-4FUN (386).
