Daris Quinn faces child pornography charges

EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. (KSDK) - A 25-year-old Belleville man was indicted Friday for child pornography offenses, the US Attorney of the Southern District of Illinois Stephen Wigginton said.

According to court documents, Daris "DQ" Quinn was charged with distribution of visual depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit content, possession of visual depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit content, using a communication facility to facilitate a drug transaction, and making a false statement to a United States Postal Inspector.

Daris Quinn is being held without bond pending trial, which is scheduled to start August 26.

If convicted on the first count, Quinn faces between 5 and 20 years in prison, a fine up to $250,000 and a term of supervised release between 5 years and life. If convicted on the second count, Quinn faces up to 10 years in prison, a fine up to $250,000 and a term of supervised release between 5 years and life. On the third count, Quinn faces up to 4 years imprisonment, a fine up to $250,000 and a term of supervised release up to 3 years. If convicted of the fourth count, Quinn could be sentenced to 5 years in prison, fined $250,000 and ordered to a term of supervised release of not more than 3 years.
