ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - The body of a woman who fell off the Golden Eagle Ferry last week has been recovered.
The St. Louis Fire Department's Marine Unit recovered the woman's body, which was found floating in the Mississippi River in far north St. Louis.
Sgt. Al Nothum with the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the woman was found by a fisherman just before 8 a.m. Monday near the 10000 block of Riverview Boulevard.
The woman, whose name has not been released, fell from the ferry, which runs between St. Charles County, Mo. and Calhoun County, Ill., around 4 p.m. Friday.
It is unknown why the woman went overboard.
