PARIS (NBC News) - A bomb threat at France's most famous landmark prompted a full-scale evacuation Friday.
People were ordered to leave the landmark around 2 p.m. local time.
After being closed for about two hours while police searched the thousand foot structure, it was re-opened.
The Eiffel Tower is one of most well-known monuments in the world and is regularly the subject of bomb scares.
About 30,000 people visit the Eiffel Tower every day.
