ELLISVILLE, Mo. (KSDK) - Ellisville police say they are working a second incident involving a woman in a white van or SUV who stopped to talk to children.

A spokesperson for the Ellisville Police Department says around 12:16 p.m. Saturday officers were called to the 1500 block of Polaris Drive for a report of a suspicious vehicle.

Two 13-year-old boys said the woman approached them and said she had seen a news report about a suspicious white van in the area and asked them if they knew anything about it. When the boys told her it had been an attempted abduction, they say the woman said "Okay" and drove away.

The boys did not get the vehicle's license plate. The woman did not ask the boys for a ride or get out of her vehicle.

Police say they are not sure if this incident is connected to the first, which occurred Aug. 14 when a woman driving a white van stopped and asked a 10-year-old girl if she wanted a ride.

The girl ran home, and her mother called police.

Anyone with information on the incidents, or if you were the driver of this vehicle, Ellisville police want you to call the department at 636-227-7777.
