ELLISVILLE, Mo. (KSDK) - Police are asking parents to keep a close eye on their children after a second strange incident involving a woman in a minivan and young kids.
While it's entirely possible that these two incidents have nothing to do with each other, police say they're too similar not to take seriously.
The first incident occurred Wednesday morning in the 1500 block of Hummingbird Hill Drive. Police say a fourth grader was waiting for the bus when a woman in a white minivan asked if she wanted a ride. The woman allegedly returned to the bus stop twice more, so the child ran home and told her mother.
A second incident occurred Saturday, when two 13-year-old boys told police that a woman approached them at the 1500 block of Polaris Drive and asked if they had seen a news report about a specific white van in the area. When the boys told her it had been an attempted abduction, they say the woman said "okay" and drove away.
Police say they would love to see parents start rotating waiting at the bus stop with children to make sure they say safe.
