ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - Today is your last chance to see the Humboldt penguins at the Saint Louis Zoo. Those are the ones who live outside.
After today, they'll be moved to another spot out of the public eye so construction can start on the new polar bear habitat.
The penguin and puffin house will also close in a couple of weeks. The penguin exhibit won't reopen for about two years.
Zoo officials say the penguins are some of the most popular residents at the zoo, but they've got to move them for safety reasons.
