BRIDGETON, Mo. (KSDK) - A group of nuns will return to the Westlake Landfill in Bridgeton on Wednesday to pray for the removal of radioactive waste.
The Franciscan Sisters of Mary have already gathered to pray over the site at least twice in the past three months. They say they're concerned about the nuclear waste buried underground.
The nuns are hoping that someone hears the calls to step in to clean it up.
Wednesday's prayer vigil is at 10 a.m. at the old Cadillac Jack's restaurant on St. Charles Rock Road.
