RICHMOND, British Columbia (NBC) - A very unusual kind of social gathering took place this weekend in Canada, all for the love of My Little Pony.
They call themselves "Bronies." They're die-hard fans of the children's cartoon My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

Many of them grown adults, and they've all gathered for the first-ever Canadian Bronie convention. Conferences like this are held all over the United States.
