CNN - In his quest to be Senator Julian Assange, the Wikileaks founder released a spoof video from the satirical news site Rap Juice, a week before voters in his native Australia take to the polls.
Assange gave himself a makeover for the video, dressing as an aging 80s rock star.
Despite the wig and the microphone, Assange says he's serious about the Wikileaks Party and its attempt to shine a light not just on Australian politics but on recent revelations of NSA surveillance.
However, over the course of the last week, six members of Assange's party have resigned, citing, among other reasons, Assange's failure to stick to democratic principles.
Assange says he's undeterred, and that Wikileaks party membership is on the rise.
