FARMINGTON, Mo. (KSDK) - As hard as they work, as impressive as their stunts are and as wild as their hair is, it's really a family affair for Innovative Force.
"The mohawk is our signature hair. We've been doing it for probably four years or so now," said Teresa Triplett-Keddy, one of the instructors.
These mohawks aren't the shaved on the side variety.
"No, we pull it back tight and it's a big Mohawk on top," Triplett-Keddy said.
And who does the hair?
"All of the dance moms," said 11-year-old dancer Emily Gosling. "If you want to be fussy about it, [it takes] probably an hour. If you want to be easy about it, maybe 30 minutes."
And it's the dance moms who take them to endless hours of rehearsal.
"Oh yeah, this has been a full-time job, we do 40 hours a week," Gosling said.
That hard work will be on display on national television Tuesday night. Innovative Force, which is made up of 26 girls from Farmington, will be vying for a chance to win "America's Got Talent" and a $1 million prize.
The team is already in the semi-finals of the competition, and their trying to make it to the next round. You can see their performance at 8 p.m. Tuesday on NewsChannel 5.
