BELLEVILLE, Ill. (KSDK) - Belleville city leaders are now considering random drug tests for all employees.
The proposal comes after St. Clair County Judge Michael Cook was arrested on federal drug charges earlier this year. Another judge and a parole officer were also implicated in the scheme.
The Belleville Police Department decided to start testing five of its employees each month.
The Belleville City Council is now considering expanding the tests to cover all city employees.
