ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - The first of two neighbor training sessions is scheduled this weekend in St. Louis.
It sounds strange, but it's part of the group Better Gamily Life's new approach to combating high crime rates in the city. The group says mentors have proven a successful way to reach kids, and turns them away from a life of crime.
Mentors can be anyone, a friend, neighbor, teacher.
Two sessions have been called to help coach people on how to pull this off. The first is Saturday, Sept. 7, the second is Saturday, Sept. 14. Both sessions are at Better Family Life on Page.
