ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - Water has been restored to a north St. Louis neighborhood after a water main broke on Saturday morning at the intersection of 7th and Biddle streets.
The 20-inch main started spewing water around 9 a.m. Saturday. The leak left nearly 50 families in the Cambridge Heights apartments without running water.
On Monday morning workers with the St. Louis Water Division were able to install an emergency valve that restored water to the homes.
The large main still needs to be repaired before street crews can fix the damage caused by the break.
