LINCOLN COUNTY, Mo. (KSDK) - Drivers caught without insurance or driving on a suspended or revoked license in Lincoln County could find themselves with a tow bill.
Lincoln County Sheriff John Cottle announced a zero-tolerance policy for the area where those meeting one or both of the violations would have their car towed at their expense.
Deputies would take a non-insured driver to a safe location until they can find a ride to their destination, Sheriff Cottle said.
Approximately 13.7 percent of Missouri drivers didn't carry insurance in 2009, according to the Insurance Information Institute.
