EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. (KSDK) - Two men have been charged with murder in connection to a Sept. 1 shooting in the parking lot of Denese's Place. One is in custody and the other is still at large.
Dameon Floore, 36, and Torcus Boone, 42, have each been charged with one count of first degree murder. Police say 20-year-old Kenneth Richards was shot to death in the parking lot of Denese's Lounge in the 200 block of Collinsville Avenue.
Bail for Floore and Boone has been set at $9 million. Floore is in custody at the St. Clair County Jail. Boone is in not custody and was last seen in the East St. Louis area. He is considered armed and dangerous.
In wake of the shooting, Denese's Place has temporarily had its liquor license suspended, with officials citing a security ordinance violation. Police say owner Denese Drummond did not have a license, bonded and certified security officer on duty when the shooting happened.
Anyone with information about Boone's whereabouts is asked to contact East St. Louis Police, Illinois State Police at 618-346-3990 or Crime Stoppers at 866-371-TIPS.
