ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - After a string of violent crimes in the north city neighborhood of Baden, police are making the community a top priority when it comes to spreading the neighborhood ownership model.
The model would encourage citizens to patrol the neighborhoods and report crimes or suspicious activity. St. Louis City police say there is a great need to get young people involved.
The Baden neighborhood launched this program in January, but Alderwoman Dionne Flowers say it fell to the wayside. Several citizens signed up but then a few months later the participation was down considerably. The hope is this time the program will succeed.
If you are interested in getting involved in Baden neighborhood patrols or have information to anonymously report regarding a crime in Baden, contact the Baden Liason Officer, Eric Armstead at 314-444-0046.
