HOUSE SPRINGS, Mo. (KSDK) - A 26-year-old Morse Mill, Mo. man was arrested Tuesday for allegedly robbing a local convenience store at gunpoint.
According to Jefferson County Sheriff Oliver "Glenn" Boyer, the robbery occurred at approximately 9:45 a.m. at the Raetta Quick Stop on Raetta Lane.
The suspect, identified as Gerald Brown, walked into the store, displayed handgun to the clerk and stole $7 in cash before leaving.
However, the owner of the store retrieved a handgun of his own, went outside and held Brown at bay until sheriff's deputies arrived. Brown was taken into custody without incident.
Brown is charged with first-degree robbery, stealing, and armed criminal action. He is held at the Jefferson County Jail on a $50,000 cash or surety bond.
