OVERLAND, Mo. (KSDK) - Overland police are investigating what they call a suspicious incident.
Police Chief Michael Laws says a woman called the Overland Police Department around 4 p.m. Tuesday and said she saw a man in a truck stop to talk to a teen girl walking down the 9500 block of Baltimore.
Officers found the girl and learned two other girls had been approached around the same time near Baltimore and Wismer. Those girls walked to a nearby school and called police.
Chief Laws says the man stopped to talk to the girls, but did not offer them rides, did not touch them, and did not ask them to get into his vehicle. Both girls told the man to leave, and he did so without hesitation. Chief Laws says the activity is still suspicious, and they are documenting it.
Police would like to interview the man and ask him what his intentions were. At this time it does not appear the man committed a crime.
