ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - A 33 year old man who was shot in the knee is in stable condition after a random shooting in the Jeff-Vanderlou neighborhood of north St. Louis.
Police went to the call of a shooting in the 1400 block of Webster just after 10 p.m. Thursday where they found the victim. The victims friend's who was not injured in the attack.
Authorities say the man who was shot was standing outside a car talking to his boss, who was seated inside a car. The man inside the vehicle noticed another man walking toward them holding a gun.
The victim began to run when the man opened fire. The man inside the vehicle, who has a carry and conceal permit pulled a weapon and began shooting at the suspect who ran to a car and fled with another person.
The victim was taken to the hospital and the gun belonging to the man with the CCW permit was seized.
No names are being released at this time.
